Jacqueline “Jackie” Sartoris graduated Maine Law cum laude in 2010, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. 

In 2018 she became a prosecutor in Augusta, working on the Veterans and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment courts.

In 2022 she was elected District Attorney of Cumberland County.

Jackie also served four terms as a Brunswick Town Councilor (2000-2007), and was a Senior Planner for the Maine State Planning Office on environmental policy. 

In that capacity, Sartoris won a National Wetlands Award for her work in leading a Governor’s Task Force to fully rewrite Maine’s wetland laws and regulations.

While raising three children, Jackie also practiced as an elder law attorney for several years.

She lives in Brunswick with the youngest of her three children (now a junior at Brunswick High) and two dogs.

Her hobbies include singing, cross-country skiing, and encouraging active participation in our democracy.
